Since its establishment in December 2009, the Department of Public and International Law has been at the forefront of offering academic instruction in key branches of law that shape the relationship of individuals and communities within the state, as well as at the international level. Through the publication of the Sri Lanka Journal of Public Law, the Department of Public and International Law of the Faculty of Law, aims to establish a pioneering platform, marking the first journal in Sri Lanka dedicated to encompassing all branches of public law within a single publication. In an era marked by globalization and increasing complexity in legal issues, the journal will play a vital role in disseminating research, analysis, and commentary that contribute to legal literacy and the promotion of justice. With the publication of high-quality articles, case notes, and reviews, the journal aims to foster intellectual discourse, encourage innovative thinking, and enhance the academic and practical understanding of legal principles and their applications in Sri Lanka and beyond.
