The Faculty of Law, University of Colombo, is pleased to announce its International Research Conference 2025, which is scheduled to be held on the 28th and 29th of November 2025. This prestigious event continues to serve as a dynamic platform for legal scholars, researchers, and practitioners to present and engage with pioneering research across a broad spectrum of legal disciplines. The theme for this year’s conference, ‘The Role of Law in the Winds of Change’, invites critical reflection on the ways in which law responds to and is shaped by the shifting tides of societal transformation, political reform, economic evolution, and technological advancement. Participants are encouraged to adopt diverse research methods and interdisciplinary approaches in exploring this timely and relevant theme. The conference will encompass contributions from the disciplines of Public Law, Private Law, Comparative Law, International Law, and Commercial Law, offering a rich space for dialogue and scholarly exchange on the evolving role of law in a rapidly changing world.
