A Premier Forum for Legal Scholarship

The International Research Conference 2026 (IRC 2026), hosted by the Faculty of Law at the University of Colombo, brings together legal scholars, practitioners, and researchers from around the world to explore the transformative intersection of artificial intelligence and law.

Under the theme "Law in the Age of AI: Advancing Equality, Sustainability and Innovation," the conference seeks to foster rigorous academic dialogue on how legal frameworks must evolve to address the challenges and opportunities presented by AI technologies.

Submit Your Research

We invite abstracts and full papers in the following areas of law, with special emphasis on AI-related legal issues. Interdisciplinary submissions addressing the intersection of law, technology, ethics and society are strongly encouraged.

Commercial Law

AI in trade, e-commerce, contracts, intellectual property, fintech regulation, and digital business law.

🌍

Comparative Law

Cross-jurisdictional analysis of AI governance frameworks, legal transplants, and comparative regulatory approaches.

🌐

International Law

AI in international relations, autonomous weapons, cyber norms, data sovereignty, and global AI governance.

👤

Private Law

AI liability, tort law, contract law, privacy, family law implications, and individual rights in the AI era.

🏛️

Public Law

Constitutional dimensions, administrative AI decision-making, human rights, democracy, and rule of law challenges.

Other Fields of Law

All other areas of law with relevance to AI, equality, sustainability, and innovation are also welcome.

Key Deadlines for Authors

All deadlines are firm. Authors should plan their submissions accordingly. The conference dates are fixed and will not be extended.
